# What I've done
- As a second year project for the DUT in french University, I was in a team, developping a Tiff editor to manually cut an huge image of a text into small images of single characters. The difficulty was that the chacters were medieval ones with all the nice style of this age.
That has been developped under Linux using Motif GUI.
The final aim was to treat the small images to be recognized so that all the huge images could be computed to be recognized as a plain text.
- As a final year traing-period, which I have spent here in Teeside, my project was to simulate a robot moving in a factory. The aim was to make the robot visit the factory and then choose the shortest way to go to the place in the factory he had to go to.
- I've made quite a lot of small programs in different languages.
Under Unix in C++, I've made a program that displays a map of the University computers with who is logged and where. I've also made a client-server program to be able to chat between several computers on a local Unix network. And a lot more in C++ and unix system.
In Java, I've made some simple applets such as games, graphical demos, etc...
In Visual Basic, I've develop some games and utilities as well.
- I'm currently developping a small software in Delphi, Object Pascal.
This year in Graphical Mathematics, we're studying the ways to draw parametric curves using control points. What my program does is to let the user plot the control points in a window and dynamically draw the corresponding curves. There is already some options, like choosing the style of the curve (parametric, bzier, b-spline), the continuity between two curves, etc...
The final aim is to be able to represent parametric surfaces in 3D, editing dynamically the control points, to be able to draw a curve path and make a 3D-object follow this path in a smooth movement.
- In electronic, I've built a home-made sound amplifier inside my computer be te be able to control the sound volume from the PC front side and to plug non-amplified directly on the back side of the computer.
With my father, we made a custom door bell which plays a random bird sing when someone's ringing at the door.
# What I'd like to do
I'm mainly interrested in whatever is dealing with graphical programming. 2D/3D representation of objects, image edition, image computation.
I'm also interrested in Java programming, HTML page setting.
# What I wouldn't like to do
What I really wouldn't like to do is dealing with data bases... I've just finished my national service in Germany and my job there was to manage the mechanical section with Access, and I've been able to see that it's definitly not my field.
